We appreciate and respect your decision to invest in orthodontic treatment, for yourself, your children, or other loved ones. The dividends from your investment will be manifested not only by a winning smile that will enhance self-esteem and self-confidence, but will also improve the functionality and the longevity of the dentition (teeth).
Orthodontic treatment results in the overall dental and psychological well being of children and adults, and financial considerations should not be an obstacle to obtaining this important health service. Being sensitive to the fact that different people have different needs in fulfilling their financial obligations, we offer various payment options, including interest-free payment programs, use of flex accounts, and Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit card billing. These options can be discussed during your first visit to our office.
Our office is committed to helping you maximize your insurance benefits. Because insurance policies vary, we can only estimate your coverage in good faith but cannot guarantee it due to the complexities of insurance contracts. The amount due at the time of services will depend on the payment arrangements that you have accepted at the time of starting treatment at our office. As a courtesy to our patients, we will bill insurance companies for procedures performed by our office. If your insurance covers orthodontic treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced out of pocket costs. Many insurance policies have a lifetime orthodontic benefit that is distinct from regular dental insurance. Remember that insurance policies vary, and we will review your benefits to determine the appropriate course of action.
To help us with this process, please complete the insurance questions on our health history form, which can be found on our website or mailed to you upon request. Please remember that orthodontic insurance is a benefit for you or your child. If, during the course of treatment, your benefits change, the financially responsible party is accountable for all charges.
We are a PPO provider for both Delta Dental and Cigna as well as a premier provider for United Concordia.
Flex Spending Account and Health Saving Accounts
FSA (Flexible Spending Accounts) and HSA (Health Saving Accounts) are tax-favored programs offered by employers, which allow their employees to pay for eligible, out-of pocket heath care expenses. As with insurance policies, HSA and FSA are very variable in their coverage and enrollment criteria but orthodontic expenses are often covered by these plans. Once you have verified your eligibility to use your HSA/FSA for orthodontic treatment, we will gladly configure financial arrangements for the best use of your benefits. We are committed to excellence in customer service, and maximizing insurance, FSA or HSA benefits is one way we can assist our patients.
Most of these plans have an enrollment period each year, and if you are considering orthodontics, an orthodontic evaluation can help you plan your annual contribution amount. Our Initial Consultation Appointment is always complementary, as a courtesy to you and to your dentist. Please call our office to schedule an appointment, so that we can discuss your orthodontic needs and prepare a financial proposal tailored to your individual requirements, including how to best work with your tax favored program.
